Author Biography

Diann Porter is a member of the mathematics faculty at Pima Community College in Tuscon, Arizona. She received her bachelor's degree in French from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she later earned her doctorate in mathematics. A native of Oklahoma, she lived in San Francisco, Seattle, Paris, Rome, Rio de Janeiro and Chicago before settling happily in Tucson.
