Author Biography

Being the book lover and voracious reader that I am, and harbouring a lifelong desire to become an author, when it came time for me to embark on the journey of writing my first fictional novel I asked myself a couple of questions. One was "What do I really want to convey to my readers?" - ah yes I've always been an optimist, and assuming that I'll have a book worthy of a mass readership is just one example of this! The other question I asked myself was "What sort of book would I want to read?" So in answer to these two questions, I decided that I wanted to write kick arse novels that are funny, inspiring and convey a really good message that both chicks and blokes could get into. Oh yeah, I should have mentioned earlier that I'm a very proud Aussie, and I can't help but use our glorious slang whenever I can. Now back to the other answer. I wanted to read about a modern day hero, someone that stands up and makes a difference in the world, and who incidentally happens to be hot in an offbeat kind of way! So that's what I did, I created a novel that has the power to make the reader feel better for having read it. I'll let you be the judge of Who Is Davis Spanx? Which is the first in a series, and even has an Aussie slang glossary in the front of it for all of my international readers! It's not chick-lit, it's not lad-lit - it's power-lit. Hang on a minute, OMG, I just invented a new genre, how cool is that!
