William Bruce Wheeler is retired history professor of history at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the author of Knoxville, Tennessee: A Mountain City in the New South, third edition.
Michael McDonald was a professor of history at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the coauthor of TVA and the Dispossessed.
