Traveling Companions / Попутчики: Bilingual English-Russian Edition of Traveling Companions - Hardcover

by Tuula Pere (Author), Catty Flores (Illustrator), Nata Madzhara (Translator)

After a devastating landslide destroys a small mountain village, the survivors are forced to leave their homes and begin a difficult journey toward safety.

Three villagers are left behind: Tony, a young boy with an injured leg; the oldest man in the village, weakened by age; and a blind blacksmith whose strength is matched by his loss of sight. Alone and running out of options, the unlikely trio must rely on one another to survive.

This Edition of Traveling Companions is a moving bilingual picture book. It celebrates cooperation, resilience, and the idea that everyone has something valuable to contribute-even in the most difficult circumstances.

Ideal for children, families, classrooms, and bilingual readers, this story encourages empathy, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding.
