Between the years 1940-1970, more than five million African-Americans left the South. Edward and Algie Clover of Dublin, Georgia (along with their three daughters and Algie's mother) joined that great migration. Arriving in Ohio just as decades of civil wrongs were changing into civil rights, they witnessed history, but never allowed it to get in the way of living.

Author Biography

Sharon KD Hoskins has worked in the field of communications for more than 20 years. She has a B.A. in mass communication arts (Hampton University) and a M.P.H. in public health practice (University of South Florida). Her first novel, To Handcuff Lightning, is an "Eric Hoffer Award finalist". All of her stories are told with humor, candor, and the belief that love will eventually show up. She is a member of the Atlanta Writers Club and enjoys reading historical fiction, contemporary humor, and mysteries solved by a cat.
