Author Biography

Dianne Chisholm is a writer, photographer, alpinist, Arctic traveler, and Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Alberta. Her travel writing and photography appear in Guide to Greenland, Up Here Magazine, Alberta Views, Wagadu, Rhizomes, and other venues. A memoir piece, "My Edmonton Haunts: A Hauntology of Belonging," features in the anthology Edmonton on Location: River City Chronicles. Her research in modernist and contemporary women's writing, queer cultural studies, and the environmental humanities has been widely published, including scholarly monographs with Cornell University Press and the University of Minnesota Press. When not at her desk in amiskwacîywâskahikan (Edmonton, Treaty 6 territory), she's at home in the Rocky Mountains or abroad in Nordic ice lands.
