Author Biography

Horatius Bonar (1808-1889) was a minister in Scotland for over 50 years. He is best known today as the writer of many great hymns, including 'I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say' and 'Of the Father's Love Begotten'. Dr. Sinclair B. Ferguson is a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow and Chancellor's Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary. He previously served as senior minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina.
