The Silent One: Volume 3 - Paperback

by Kate Martin (Author)

Bri is safely out of Kai's clutches-- at least for now-- but with Carma and Olin established as the first demon gods, the life in the realms is more dangerous and unpredictable than ever.

Nowhere is this clearer than in the ranks of Bri's allies. Alec, distracted and distant, struggles with Ariadne's two faces, and what that means for their future, as well as their shared past. Traveling east, Ella takes her throne to become queen to a ruined people torn apart by war. The friends Bri has long counted on to keep him safe now have their own challenges to overcome.

Wanted by Haven, taunted by Kai over the truth of their unorthodox creation, and haunted by a lady in white tempting him toward a place beyond the Myst, Bri has no choice but to stand on his own two feet. His only defense is a power he never wanted, a dark talent that's long tainted and twisted his family.

Bri must scribe.

Author Biography

Kate Martin has loved stories since the beginning. Some of her first memories are of her parents reading to her at night, movies taped off TV, and dolls with torrid backstories. It's a family trait to make things up--and luckily she eventually learned to focus that impulse into weaving her own books. Notebooks filled with fanfiction all through middle school and high school? Check. Nowadays she can be found in the New England countryside, where she teaches dance, writes her books, discusses story process with her husband, and caters to the whims of her two small children, and one hungry cat.
