On the eve of the First World War, two friends go on a fishing holiday in Scotland before joining up. While staying at the house of retired General McLeod they become aware of mysterious apparitions on the loch. Author Biography

William Tufnell Le Queux (July 2, 1884-October 13, 1927) was an Anglo-French author. Born in London, he was educated in Europe. He worked as an editor and reporter for various British magazines and newspapers before turning to writing full time. He wrote numerous novels, mostly in the mystery and suspense genres, of which the best known may be The Invasion of 1910. In addition to writing, he was also involved in pioneering radio experiments.
