by Tate Nation (Illustrator), Alyson Murphy (Author)

Signed, sealed, and guaranteed to help teach children basic social skills and good manners at home, in school, and in public, this contract, written by international etiquette consultant Alyson Murphy, and beautifully illustrated by award-winning artist Tate Nation, will teach kids how to be proud to write, speak, and improve polite habits, such as brushing their teeth, using good table manners, and showing others respect.
The Manners Contract, most importantly, reminds us all that good manners are not only what we do and say, but they're ways we can show kindness every single day.
A funny and educational tool to help parents instill good manners in children from an early age, The Manners Contract does just that-it provides an outline to help implement better habits that can be used from now into adulthood.

Author Biography

Alyson Murphy received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina and holds certifications in professional etiquette and advanced behavior analysis from the The Charleston School of Protocol and the Nonverbal Group in Manhattan. Her workshops are heavily based on social psychology and mindfulness, helping bridge the gap between the rules of etiquette and the principles they are founded on.
Armed with an unorthodox arsenal of knives, dry brushes, and assorted unconventional implements, Tate Nation paints in multiple layers of acrylics on canvas-covered wood panels, creating vibrant paintings that are drenched in texture, and packed with energy and movement. Tate's non-traditional paintings are a lively medley of bold compositions, festive themes, and a vivid color palette influenced by Caribbean art. Raised in Kentucky and upstate New York, Tate received his BFA from Western Kentucky University, where he was a collegiate swimmer. Tate lives and paints in Charleston, SC.
