Your child's purity depends on good information to help them make good informed choices. The intent of the book was to provide an open door to help open dialogue to talk about difficult subjects. You as the parent are free to choose how much information you give and when, as the books will not expose them to these topics, but rather teaches a story and opens the door for more conversation. Pornography is a silent addiction that consumes. Prevention is key.
