The Dreamed-Of Other - Paperback

by Morrel H. Cohen (Author)

The Dreamed-Of Other tells the story of a seventy-five-year love affair and marriage-and what came after. In poems of varied styles and voices, physicist-turned-poet Morrel Cohen explores his love for Sylvia, his wife who died in spring 2024. Poems home in on highlights of their long relationship-their meeting as students, the small and joyous wedding, their travels with their children, Sylvia's decline and death-and Morrel's journey through grief. From their meeting as students working a crossword together to the poet's creating a new life warmed by her memory, these poems explore life with and after the dreamed-of other.
