Walter Farley's tales of bravery, instinct, and survival have been captivating readers for more than seventy-five years. Here, in a handsome gift set, are four of the best: - In The Black Stallion, Alec Ramsay is shipwrecked on a desert island, and must decide whether he can trust a stallion whose beauty matches his wild spirit.- In The Black Stallion Returns, a chieftain shows up to claim ownership of the Black Stallion, but Alec isn't ready to let go so quickly.
- In The Black Stallion Revolts, Alec and the Black are separated in the desert, and the Black joins a wild herd. How will they ever find each other again?
- And in The Black Stallion's Ghost, Alec rides the Black into a mysterious swamp where he discovers a ghostly gray mare and a strange rider who is not what he seems. It has been more than seventy-five years since the first Black Stallion adventure was published, and it is still literature's most enduring friendship between a boy and his horse.
