by Elizabeth Retter (Author), Izzy Bean (Illustrator)

The Beef Bandit: The Case of the Missing Shepherd's Pie is a laugh-out-loud mystery starring Easton, a lovable rescue dog with a big heart--and an even bigger appetite.

When a pan of shepherd's pie beef mysteriously disappears, Mom launches a household investigation. The fish denies it. The parakeet pleads innocence. The cat insists it's been napping all day. Even the kids have alibis. But sneaky clues--paw prints, peas, and a suspicious burp--begin to tell a different story.

As the truth comes out, Easton must own up to his crime and learn that being part of a family means teamwork, patience, and sharing the pie--every ingredient included. Packed with rhythm, repetition, and delightful illustrations, this story is perfect for read-alouds and budding detectives.
