When Stumpy looked out across his little mountain top, all he could see was darkness. Everyone was sad. They only thought of themselves. They forgot how to love each other.

They needed to learn that love must be patient and kind. They needed to stop being jealous of all the other goats. They had to learn not to be arrogant and brag about themselves. Who wants to hear someone brag about themselves all day? They needed to learn not to lie and refuse to engage in bad behavior. They had to get out of their depression and bigotry. The darkness was about to overtake the whole mountainside, and Stumpy was afraid they would never be happy again.
