Steve Grossman – My Second Prime Music CD

Steve Grossman spent years in the shadow of his own legend, having blown alongside Miles Davis and recorded for ECM before largely stepping away from the spotlight. My Second Prime, cut in Italy where he'd built a devoted following among European jazz audiences, captures a saxophonist fully reconciled with his gifts, burning through hard bop changes with the urgency of someone who knows exactly how much time away costs.
