Serena Goes to Shanghai is a story inspired by a real event. It is the story of sweet Serena, a suitcase who mistakenly gets tagged with the wrong airport code. Instead of landing in Seattle she is tagged to go to Shanghai. Serena has many adventures meeting other bags like Coco the French hanging bag and Destry the dusty western bag. She travels the world while eventually getting back to her owner, Mrs. Whalen. We learn about the different places she travels, the new friends she makes along the way, and the importance of coming home.
