A transplant to Oklahoma City after growing up in New Hampshire and Chicago, Matt Kirouac is a travel and food writer with bylines in Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, InsideHook, Thrillist, BBC, AFAR, Atlas Obscura, Plate Magazine, and others. Part of what drew him to Oklahoma was a curiosity for the underrated and the sense of discovery in stereotyped places. He prides himself on sharing these stories, especially those about LGBTQ+ communities. Matt lives with his husband, Nathan, and their dog, Finn.
