Saratoga Springs has a rich heritage dating back to the early 1800s. This picturesque city nestled at the foot of the Adirondacks originally attracted visitors due to its rejuvenating mineral springs. The Saratoga Race Course, the oldest race track in the United States, also brought in an abundance of wealth, which helped develop the stunning Victorian architecture that lines the streets of the city. The racetrack continues to be a hub for summer vacation as the city population triples during the summer months. Author Biography

Lauren Magina moved to Saratoga Springs with her husband in 2016. She owns her own advertising and graphic design business but spends most of her free time illustrating, particularly Saratoga architecture and horses. Lauren's illustrations have featured in magazines such as Saratoga Living. Prints from her original pieces are currently being sold in several stores downtown Saratoga.
