Geoffrey Walters (aka Geoffrey Smagacz) is a former reporter for the Times Newsweekly in Queens, New York, and the author of Never Say Murder (republished in 2019) and A Waste of Shame and Other Sad Tales of the Appalachian Foothills, which won the Independent Publisher Book Award (IPPY) Gold Medal for Best Regional Fiction in 2014.
