Author Biography

Minister Chakita Hargrove grew up in Plant City, Florida where she attended Greater New Hope Anointed Ministries under the pastorship of Calvin E. Callins, Sr. She moved to Tallahassee Florida in June 2002 and received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Humanities and Religious Studies from the renowned Florida State University in Summer 2006. She later received her Certification in Pre-Kindergarten Disabilities. During her stay in Tallahassee, she began to serve under her former Pastor Reverend Calvin Jerome McFadden and accepted her call to preach and teach in October 2004 at Community of Faith Church (COF). She was formally announced to the congregation in January 2005 and delivered her initial sermon, "Break Yourself," on August 28, 2005. On January 18, 2009, she was ordained as Minister Prophetess Chakita Hargrove under the tutelage of Elder Callins, Sr. Currently, Minister Hargrove resides in Hillsborough County where she serves as the Church Administrator, Youth Minister, and Editor-in-Chief of the Greater New Hope Herald, a church newsletter publication product of Heart.Ink Press, LLC. She volunteers as an Assistant Chaplain at the DeMilly Correctional Institute. Not only does she teach them the word of God but she teaches them Life Skills, preparing them to re-enter into society. Minister Hargrove is a God fearing woman and a committed servant of the Lord. Many people respect her for being righteous and honest. Already, she holds several persons under her wings who look to her as a spiritual counselor and mentor. Minister Hargrove has a passion for the spiritual wellness of God's children and when the Spirit of the Living God told her to launch Heart of Man Ministries (HOMM), Inc.; so she did. God has birthed Heart of Man Ministries through her because of the faith and love she has for the Word of God and for the children of God. Minister Hargrove is CEO of Heart Of Man Ministries, Inc and Heart.Ink Pres, LLC, a unique publishing, marketing and designing expansion of Heart Of Man Ministries, Inc. Minister Hargrove is also a published author, publishing her debut book "Calling All Disciples: Growing in Christ" in March 2009 and her sophomore book "Pregnant? Push!: Birthing God's Purpose For Your Life" in October 2009. Minister Hargrove is also an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
