Wennemann argues that the traditional concept of personhood may be fruitfully applied to the ethical challenge we facein a posthuman age. The book posits that biologically non-human persons like robots, computers, or aliens are a theoretical possibility but that we do not know if they are a real possibility.

Author Biography

Daryl J. Wennemann received his BA and MA in philosophy from St. Louis University and his Ph.D. in philosophy from Marquette University. He is currently an associate professor of philosophy at Fontbonne University. He is the co-author of Applied Professional Ethics: A Developmental Approach for Use with Case Studies with Greg Beabout and has published a number of scholarly articles.
