by Mira Illeris (Author), Esben Schultz (Author)

A comprehensive guide to permaculture from experienced practitioners on the frontlines of regenerative design.

Beautifully illustrated with photography from 90 established permaculture projects, this book showcases the creativity and resilience of a movement already putting solutions into practice.

Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, the authors show how
permaculture's nature-inspired principles can turn homes, gardens, farms, schools, and communities into resilient and abundant ecosystems. Blending practical know-how with the latest research, this book distils years of field-tested strategies into a toolkit for thriving in the face of climate and biodiversity crises.

Readers will discover solutions for:
  • No-dig vegetable cultivation and sustainable market gardening
  • Designing forest gardens and food forests with perennial vegetables, berries, fruit, and nut trees
  • Establishing self-feeding chicken systems and nut forests
  • Practicing close-to-nature forestry with native species
  • Cultivating grains without ploughing
  • Building carbon-storing, low-energy homes from local natural materials
  • Implementing community-scale renewable energy solutions
  • Recycling water through aquaculture and ecological wastewater treatment
  • Strengthening resilient rural-urban networks
  • Exploring new approaches to democracy and regenerative economies

Comprehensive, practical, and deeply grounded in experience, Permaculture is both a handbook for action and an inspiring vision of a regenerative future.
