This volume is a highly original compilation of 12 papers that seeks to relate archaeology to the outside world, in an inclusive, rather than exclusive sense. It asks certain questions, for instance: how is archaeology perceived outside of itself as a discipline? How does archaeology mould daily life, for others and ourselves? But perhaps what finally emerges from this collection of papers is the way they address the imagination, especially the poetic imagination.
