Judy Loest was born in Snowflake, Virginia, and has lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, for forty years. She holds a master's degree from the University of Tennessee, is the editor of Knoxville Bound: A Collection of Literary Works Inspired by Knoxville, Tennessee and is a member of the Old Gray Cemetery Board of Trustees.
