Author Biography

Born Joye Elizabeth Whitmore, August 28, 1943 the last of three children, Joye always imagined becoming a veterinarian, but in high school she chose to follow in her mother's footstops and become a nurse. She graduated from Illinois Masonic Hospital School of Nursing in 1964. Since that time, she has worked in various areas of her profession and retired in 2004 after nearly forty years of caring for others. The author had four children, including an unexpected set of twins. Twice widowed, Joye now resides with her husband Norman of ten years, wintering in Florida and enjoying summers in Northern Illinois near her three surviving children and five grandchildren.
