Seavey's legitimate shipping operations were overshadowed by his nefarious activities including hijacking boats, stealing cargo, smuggling, illegal goods, and operating a floating brothel. In the novel, C.J. Hagstrom brings to life the story of this Great Lakes pirate in an engaging and fast-moving narrative with well-developed and interesting characters.
