My Photo Album is about family, neighbors, friends, colleagues, significant others, and those who walk past by or maybe acquaintances, casually met, or strangers, but their stories are relatable. Our world seems torn by conflict, fear, loss, disparity, sickness, and confusion, and it is some consolation to know that one is not alone on the road. Being born is not a choice, but living is. Love and compassion rooted in courage and persistence make life endearing. And believing hope is a guiding star; in a smile are miles of sadness crossed. In My Photo Album, people make presences, and anyone who joins in and is one of them, or maybe some of them, or most of them, or even none of them; these person-centric photo poems connect to create an understanding of how not to be lost or left behind in any lane, real or imagined.
