by Mary Ann Labutta (Author)

Middle Class Life During the Great Depression ambles down the lane documenting the facts of life in the rural areas of Southwestern Pennsylvania in the 1930's and 40's.

Author Biography

Mary Ann Labutta has been legally blind for several years and chronicled these facts on legal pads using black markers for clarity. She resides in Parma, Ohio with Victor, her husband of 59 years. They have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. Ms. Labutta experienced the Depression firsthand; and, in the course of her job, she regularly visited many homes in her home area so she is uniquely qualified to attest to the living conditions as well as the social and economic hardships.
