Pearl Harbor catapulted lawyer Tom Gallagher from the leafy suburban streets of Philadelphia to the deck of the destroyer USS Parris in the Pacifi c's Solomons Islands. Though a neophyte at war, Tom is soon made into a highly capable, seasoned warrior by the desperate battles to take the Solomons from the Japanese Imperial Navy.
