Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (26 April 121 - 17 March 180) was Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 and one of the last of the Five Good Emperors. Remembered as both a statesman and a Stoic philosopher, he embodied the ideals of wisdom, self-discipline, and humility. His reign marked the final era of the Pax Romana, a time of relative peace and stability across the Empire.
