When we realize that we've gotten to the other side of a struggle, or that we are in the midst of struggle, we often look to the stories of others who represent some aspect of where we have been. More often than not, the transformation doesn't occur in one grand instant - it is the accumulation of little moments along the way that shape the overall transformation. The moments become little memoirs in themselves. In this book, each moment is titled with six words that somehow sum it all up. Themes of disability, mental health, queerness, and recovery, viewed through a lens that acknowledges a greater collective consciousness above our individual perspectives.
