Louie Vega / Gilles Peterson / Havana Cultura Band – Brownswood Remix Editions 008 (LP Vinyl) Vinyl Record

Louie Vega's roots in New York house and Latin music make him a natural fit for the Havana Cultura project, Gilles Peterson's long-running effort to document and celebrate contemporary Cuban music for a global audience. Vega brings his Nuyorican sensibility to these reworks, connecting Afro-Cuban rhythms to the dance floor traditions he helped define at clubs like Cielo and through his Expansions in the NYC imprint.
