In a single night, I lost everything. My parents, my home, my security. Having no idea what to do with me, my social worker finds a program where I can apply for a grant to pay for my room and board at the most prestigious private academy in my country of Locrottum. Locrottum Academy.

It was better than staying in an orphanage, or trying to get along with a family I knew deep down I could never accept. In a way, Locrottum Academy has been a bittersweet blessing. It's allowed me to experience so much, but there's only one problem, the boogeyman has followed me to school.

I never thought in a million years the new girl would turn out to be so interesting. We have a lot in common. Samira is smart, funny, and cute. It worries me that she's scared for her life, but I believe her when she says that someone is following her.

I just wish we could get the teachers to take her seriously as well. I don't know what's going to happen, but I do know one thing. I'll protect Samira with everything I have. I won't let anyone try to take her from the school, or from my side.
