Indigenous peoples are the original peoples. Today, many of them are still alive, in a great diversity of ecosystems. They are the most deeply rooted and enduring societies. But, in many places, they face serious threats. In its territories, the greatest biodiversity in the world is preserved. They are masters of sustainability. They speak complex languages, and preserve a wealth of traditions and knowledge. His ancestral wisdom encompasses all dimensions of existence, both visible and invisible, and is a great source of inspiration for our societies in crisis.

Author Biography

Verónica Fabregat has been working as a graphic designer and illustrator for over 15 years. She graduated in product Design from the University of Castellón and in Illustration at the ESAT School of Arts in Valencia, Spain. She worked as a designer in several agencies, and then she founded her own studio. Josep Maria Mallarach has a degree in Geology, a master's degree in Environmental Sciences, and a doctorate in Environmental Biology. He was director of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park (1985-1991). In 2004, with Thymio Papayannis, they created the Delos Initiative, dedicated to sacred natural spaces in technologically developed countries. He is a member of the UICN World Commission on Protected Areas, of the Steering Committee of the Group specializing in cultural and spiritual values of protected natural spaces, and has lived for seasons with different indigenous peoples.
