Author Biography

Paul VanDevelder has been an investigative reporter, photojournalist, and documentary filmmaker. His award-winning work has appeared in the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Audubon, Esquire, the Los Angeles Times, High Country News, and the Seattle Times. He is the author of Coyote Warrior: One Man, Three Tribes, and the Trial That Forged a Nation (Bison Books, 2010) and Savages and Scoundrels: The Untold Story of America's Road to Empire through Indian Territory, winner of the Oregon Book Award.
