Author Biography

My name is Dennis Nance. I started writing poetry as therapy. I spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps with a 9 month tour in Afghanistan. Like many of my follow Service Members returning to civilian life was challenging. Balancing my relationships with family and friends, while reconnecting with myself took a toll on me. My way to ease into that challenge was through writing my thoughts, emotions and sharing them.
