Josh Johnson – Animative (LP Vinyl) Vinyl Record

Saxophonist Josh Johnson has quietly become one of the more compelling voices in contemporary jazz and experimental music, building a sound that draws on ambient texture, soul, and improvisation without being beholden to any single tradition. *Animative* finds him in full compositional command, the kind of record that rewards headphone listening as much as it does a room full of people paying close attention.
