João Maria Gusmão's (born 1979) combinatorial codex takes as its subject his personal collection of Japanese-inspired Chawan tea bowls by ceramicist Victor Harris. The artist and book designer Ana Baliza devised a semirandom series of signatures, making each copy unique.
