Author Biography

Katalin Franciska Rac is the Jewish studies librarian at Emory University. A trained historian and archivist, she specializes in the modern history of Central European Jewry and their transnational connections. Lenny A. Ureña Valerio, associate director for
program development in the Latin American and Iberian Institute at the
University of New Mexico, is the author of Colonial Fantasies, Imperial
Realities: Race Science and the Making of Polishness on the Fringes of the
German Empire, 1840‒1920.
