Offering wit whimsy and vibrantly fanciful art Lucy Rose Fischer captures the essence of what it feels like to be “new at being old.” At first she wonders: Is she ready for this journey toward an “alien universe”? Lucy Rose Fischer is an award-winning Minnesota artist author and researcher. She had a distinguished 25-year career in the field of aging. The author of three previous books as well as numerous professional articles Lucy was honored as a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America for her “outstanding achievement and exemplary contributions to the field of aging.” Art had always been her passion-on-the-side.

Approaching 60 she launched her second career as artist. Her art has been featured in more than 50 exhibitions in the Midwest Europe and Israel.
