Hummable Stories - Paperback

by Lynne Hunt (Author)

Hummable Stories is all about storytelling, stories about friendship and communication, travel, living and dying, stories about gossip, identity, absconding, and abandonment, and more.

Songs and stories are inextricably intertwined as a particular piece of music transports the author to long-forgotten times and places, examining everyday issues that affect us all. These are stories of the ordinary and the extraordinary, borrowed from family and friends.

The illustrative pages of chapters feature song lyrics, poems, photography, sculpture, letters, limericks, quilting, and sketches that illuminate the key point of each chapter, further reinforcing the point that storytelling lies at the heart of all forms of art. Each offers a different lens through which to experience the joy of storytelling.

Hummable Stories is a work of creative non-fiction in which real stories offer a kernel of truth that has been creatively embellished to explore life's course.
