Author Biography

Thomas C. Smedley earned his PhD in Communication Studies in 2010 from Regent University. In his technical writing career, he uses sophisticated tools to describe sophisticated hardware and software. This pragmatic orientation surfaced earlier in his master's thesis, Social Maturity of Home School Children: A Communication Approach. He now applies this skill set to the issues surrounding collapsing civilizations, and discusses what it takes to offer hope to those in the midst of cultural disaster.

An interest in and affection for the Turkish people, culture, and language also informs this book.

Smedley lives with his wife and children in Durham, NC.
