The Foshay Tower's elevator seemingly goes haywire for no reason, and inmates and guards in the Hennepin County Jail report sightings of an underdressed spectral figure.

Local author Ron de Beaulieu investigates the roots of the Mill City's ghost stories, ranging from the tragic to the horrific as well as heartwarming and perplexing.

Author Biography

As of this year, Ron has spent more time in Minnesota than anywhere else in the world. She now lives in South Minneapolis but previously lived in Southeast; before that, she lived in St. Paul. And before that was a long time ago, or so it seems to her now. Ron started writing books to share the interesting things she was learning in grad school at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she got an MA in history and a PhD in sociology. Haunted Minneapolis is her fourth book, preceeded by Minneapolis Murder & Mayhem, St. Paul Murder & Mayhem, and Minnesota's Most Notorious Mobster: The Making and Breaking of Kid Cann.
