Author Biography

Retired teacher Gerald Fischer is currently President of the Meade County Historical and Archaeological Preservation Society and volunteers for the Meade County History Museum. He co-authored the book, Meade County, Kentucky - History and Families, writes for the Meade County Messenger, the former Meade County News Standard, and The Kentucky Explorer magazine. His book, Guerrilla Warfare in Civil War Kentucky, Vol. I, was published in 2014.
