Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance from the air date back to the use of balloons to observe the adversary during the French Revolution. In today's knowledge-based environment, we observe and analyze the meaning and impact of a wide variety of events and convey useful, timely intelligence on our adversaries' capabilities and intentions to decision-makers. However, in this "Age of Information" we've expanded our ISR capabilities to operate from and through air, space and cyberspace to achieve desired effects across the range of military operations in contested and denied environments in support of US national security objectives.
