A 2016 MacArthur Fellow, Gene Luen Yang (b. 1973) is an influential figure in independent and mainstream comics. Author Biography

Lan Dong is Louise Hartman Schewe and Karl Schewe Professor in Liberal Arts and Sciences and professor of English at the University of Illinois Springfield. She is author or editor of six books and has published extensively on Asian American literature, children's and young adult literature, and comics and graphic narratives.
