On June 7, 1926, as he was leaving the Sagrada Familia under construction, Antoni Gaudí was hit by a tram. Three days later, one of the world's greatest architects died in the hospital.

Throughout his life, Gaudí reimagined Barcelona, drawing inspiration from the forms of nature, his travels, and his own family to shape some of the city's most iconic buildings. However, he was not always considered a master of architecture: in his dandyish youth, his teachers considered him either crazy... or a genius.
