Author Biography

Wendy Elizabeth Hart, born in 1976, began writing and illustrating at an early age as a way to cope with her troubled childhood. Now, Wendy and her family reside in a rural town outside of Barrie, Ontario where they run a mini-therapy barn and practice homesteading. Whilst watching her daughter grow and thrive in an Unschooled environment, she was inspired to capture and share it with the world through a children's book series based on their Freeschoolin'/Unschooled life. Her rich and beautiful illustrations are adeptly hand-crafted with simple mediums. Wendy blogs and posts on Facebook to her more than 5000 followers with a unique and candid style that draws those who seek an honest account of a Canadian Unschooling Family's life.
