Shailja Kumar developed a passion for reading and writing in her early childhood as she was exposed to the literary
works of great writers. This influenced her thinking and helped her establish the directives for life. Shailja has been
writing poems since her college days. Some were published in literary magazines. She is an artist and sculptor, who has
held solo exhibitions in Houston, USA and Argentina.
